Is The Finicky Fisherman's seafood fresh or frozen?
All of our seafood is processed and flash frozen as soon as it gets to port when its freshness is at it’s peak. This ensures the best quality and flavor for our customers.
There is a misconception that fresh seafood is the best quality and taste, but often this isn’t true. Between the time the fish is caught and the time you intend to cook it, that fish has been quickly declining in freshness. We think you will agree that our frozen seafood has an amazingly “fresh” taste!
How is the seafood shipped?
We pack the frozen packages into a foam cooler, surrounded by frozen gel packs, then immediately send it off for 2 day shipping (usually FedEx).
How soon will I receive my order?
Once we receive your order, we will get your package ready typically the following day (unless we receive your order early in the morning). We only ship on Monday – Thursday. Orders placed on a weekend will be shipping the following Monday.

Please be sure someone will be available to receive the order and immediately transfer the seafood to a freezer.
How does the local delivery work?
If you live in Northeast Washington, between Kettle Falls and Deer Park, we are currently offering personal delivery, free of charge. Just enter a local address at checkout and choose local delivery. Be sure to leave the best phone number to reach you. We will contact you to arrange a drop off time.

The Finicky Fisherman has some of the lowest prices for quality seafood that you will find! And we only sell the best of quality, so when you buy from us, you know it will taste fresh and delicious!
Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?
Both our Halibut Cheeks and Sabelfish tips are discounted when you buy more than 5 lbs. Also, if your total purchase is over 40 lbs, we can usually get a lower rate for shipping. Just contact us with your order through phone or email and we will get back to you on lower cost options for shipping.
